A couple mid-August newcomers enjoyed $20M+ weekends, but it’s Spider-Man: Brand New Day that is running away with potentially the greatest performance in box office history. To date it has achieved the following:
- Fastest to $200M (2 days – tied)
- Fastest to $300M (3 – tied)
- Fastest to $400M (4)
- Fastest to $500M (7)
- Fastest to $600M (9)
- Fastest to $700M (13)
The current record for $800M is 23 days, and the record for $900M is 50 days. These are breakable!

A couple more movie shuffles didn’t change the order of our Top 3, and it would seem that we’ve seen the last of the adjustments. With 2 weekends remaining we appear to have our final winners.
