Last weekend it was records and milestones galore. This weekend its… a bomb? Just one year after the hit introduction of Superman (including a cameo appearance of our heroine), James Gunn returns with Supergirl in her very own film. But what once looked promising with an opening tracking in the $47-65M range is now reduced to just $34-43M. The studio’s own tracking is $47-50M, so hopefully they are right and everyone else is wrong. We don’t even have Thursday preview numbers yet, which is not a good sign at all.
