It took only TEN days for Spider-Man: Brand New Day to reach $650M and climb all the way up to #1 on our Top 10 list. When a movie suffers a second weekend drop of nearly 60% yet still rakes in $144M we know we’ve got something special. That $144M also happened to be the 3rd best Weekend #2 of all time. Special.
With no legit newcomers it was a solid weekend of holds for everything else still earning $$$. And we have 3 more (seemingly) light weekends in front of us to keep it going.
Scoreboard Leaders
Spidey ‘s leap to #1 combined with a couple other movements created some separation atop the Scoreboard. Can Seagan hang onto that top spot?! With $116M as the expected cutoff for #10, there doesn’t appear to be anything else coming out that would be a threat to the Top 10. Note that we still have a couple more shuffles ahead as early as next weekend.

Holdover News
- Despite that -59.9% second weekend hold, #1 Spider-Man: Brand New Day ($144.2M) jumped 17 spots to #10 on the All Time domestic box office list. That’s #10 ALL TIME after just 10 days. Next on the list at #9 is 1997’s Titanic ($674.3M).
- #2 Toy Story 5 ($4.2M) enjoyed another nice hold (-37.7%) in its 8th weekend, but still slipped a spot. Those repeated holds did help it achieve our 2nd best 8-week multiplier at 2.95x. At $470.6M it actually fell a spot to #28 on the All Time list because of Spidey. Still next on the list at #27 is 2024’s Wicked ($474.9M).
- #3 The Odyssey ($31.7M) also had a nice hold (-37.9%) in its 4th weekend, earning our 3rd best 4-week multiplier at 3.74x. Now at $461.3M, Odyssey is sitting one spot behind at #29 All Time. Expect it to surpass TS5 very soon.
- #4 Obsession ($209K) stays put with no chance of anything catching up. At $263.3M total it moves up a couple more spots to #154 All Time. Next on the list at #153 is 2017’s Despicable Me 3 ($264.6M), but I don’t think it’s climbing any further.
- #5 The Devil Wears Prada 2 is done at $220.6M.
- #6 Backrooms ($54K) still won’t walk away after 11 weekends and $197.4M.
- #7 Mandalorian and Grogu DID finally call it quits after 11 weekends at $177.7M.
- #8 Minions & Monsters ($3.5M) has done well since its disappointing opening, with a another nice 6th weekend hold (-41.7%). At $176.3M it should take over Mando’s spot this week.
- #9 Moana ($2.9M) climbs 1 spot with its own nice hold (-46.8%) in its 5th weekend. At $121.6M it’s reached its peak.
- #10 Disclosure Day also called it quits after 8 weekends and $116.6M. That’s certainly disappointing. But unless something this weekend just explodes at the box office it’ll hang on to that #10 spot for good.
Next Weekend: 6(!) movies get the Wide treatment, with The End of Oak Street looking kind of fun. And PAW Patrol: The Dino Movie has its audience. None were selected, however, as 3 total weekends likely won’t be enough time to crack the list.
