No surprise that rival studios chose to stay away from a second helping of Strange 2, as the summer’s true #1 film (global consensus) is projected to pull in another $68M and push $300M total over the first 10 days. Firestarter already couldn’t compete, and with that additional Peacock streaming it’ll be lucky to see $5M.

Side note… Sony just announced that they are sliding back Bullet Train one week to an 8/5 opening date. But no need to stress as it distanced itself from Nope and has very little competition in the month of August.’s predictions for this weekend:
1) Doctor Strange In the Multiverse of Madness – 68M (298.9M)
3) Firestarter – 5.3M (5.3M)
7) Family Camp – 2.4M (2.4M)

Rotten Tomatoes freshness ratings (Critics / Audience Score):
Firestarter = 13% / 46%
Family Camp = none / 85%

Theater count:
Firestarter = 3,412
Family Camp = 854

CinemaScore ratings:
Firestarter = C-
Family Camp = n/a
