The Top 10 remains intact as none of the new releases was able to knock off the current #10 sitting at $31M. Where the Crawdads Sing came closest with $17M… and that’s simply not good. Nothing more to say about the new movies, aside from the fact that Thor: Love and Thunder DROPPED 68% IN ITS SECOND WEEKEND. You read that, Chapman? Thor 4 is no threat to Strange 2.

Also, The Gray Man didn’t even report any box office numbers. It currently resides at the bottom of the list until something gets tallied.

Our weekly Top Gun: Maverick update: $600M was eclipsed last Tuesday, and it’s now #11 ALL TIME at $618M. By the end of next weekend it’s expected to knock off both 2017’s Star Wars: Episode VIII – The Last Jedi ($620M) and 2012’s The Avengers ($623M) for the #9 spot.

Next Weekend: Back to just a single Wide release, which bodes well for Nope (30 players) to potentially win the weekend. Early forecast is ~$50M, and the movie is so under wraps that there aren’t any reviews yet. Exciting!
