This is our final weekend of the summer with a ‘major’ release, and clearly the best was saved for last. Sitting on excellent RT reviews of 90%+ from both Critics and Audience (what is wrong with you “Top” Critics?), along with an ‘A’ CinemaScore, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is projected to shatter the July opening record (2024’s Deadpool & Wolverine did $211M). Better yet, Spidey will leave its mark among the all-time Top 5 opening weekends. Buckle up.

Just don’t expect Odyssey to fall off a cliff with the new release, as it’s quickly aiming for $400M. And then for some extreme counter-programming we get Olivia Wilde and Cooper Hoffman in I Want Your Sex. This weekend is going to be a hot one!
