It’s a spooky July weekend as we get Disney’s not-so-horror Haunted Mansion (selected by 2 players) along with the very-horror Talk To Me. Mansion is taking an early beating from critics, and with Barbenheimer set to rake in another $100M+ in its second weekend I just don’t see how Disney can expect to see $28M. That’s a shame because I was rooting for it. I’ll still check it out.

If people REALLY went to be scared they should go see Talk To Me, which some are calling “the scariest movie of the year so far.” RT’s Critics Consensus says: “With a gripping story and impressive practical effects, Talk to Me spins a terrifically creepy 21st-century horror yarn built on classic foundations.” Nope. I’m out.

Meanwhile… and no joke… Barbie is projected to nearly hit $350M after just 10 (technically 11) days. Even Top Gun: Maverick was at $295M after 10 days. Wowwwwwww.
