2 weekends remain and we’ve still got a little shuffling going on in the Top 10. Sound of Freedom jumped over Indiana Jones and the Dial of Destiny into #6, and Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One jumped over Transformers: Rise of the Beasts into #8. I’m thinking M:I7 movies up another notch before the summer ends, as does Oppenheimer.
Barbie crossed $500M on Friday (Day 22), and its current $526M makes it the #18 movie ALL TIME, right behind Rogue One: A Star Wars Story. By the end of next weekend it should climb as high as #15 at $560M+. In comparison, Top Gun: Maverick reached $500M on Day 30. Stay tuned.
Next Weekend: The remaining 2 selections of the summer finally come out with just weeks to spare. Blue Beetle (picked by 1 very special player) may just mark a new low for the DCEU. And after an extra long wait, Strays (picked by 3 players) makes its appearance after originally being scheduled for release on June 9.
