The Top 10 got a small shuffle in the final weekend of the SMP as Oppenheimer finally climbed past The Little Mermaid into the #4 spot with $299M. And to think that nearly half of us didn’t pick it (guilty here).
6 new movies made the list, but none higher than Gran Turismo’s $17M opening. We knew there wouldn’t be any major change this weekend.
BARBIE UPDATE!
Barbie fell just short of $600M, and its current $592M inched up to be the #14 movie ALL TIME, right behind 2018’s Incredibles 2 ($608M). That one should fall soon, and Barbie should easily crack the Top 10 when it’s all said and done.
Next Weekend: Nothing. There are no more weekends in the SMP as the end date is 8/31. The Final Standings will be posted on 9/1.
